HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Thunderstorms tonight will be a little more hit and miss across the region. Spotty thunderstorms may develop overnight, initially around the Lexington-Holdrege-Kearney areas, but there could be some activity through daybreak Thursday. This will be the first of a series of upper level disturbances that could bring a little better coverage of t’storms to the region through Saturday. Different from the last several days, it appears we could be seeing more rain during the day instead of recent nocturnal activity.

The nice thing is, for now, it doesn’t appear that severe weather will be much of the threat as we continue into the peak time of severe weather season. Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Temps will be a bit cooler through Saturday with upper 70s to near 80 but by next Tuesday we’ll resume with a summer-like feel as we push the thermometer into the upper 80s to near 90. It appears we’ll be seeing less chances for rain and more sunshine by midweek.
