Pump and Pantry gas station is currently addressing a major issue that may have caused some customers to fill their vehicle tanks with the wrong type of fuel, potentially leading to damage.

The company stated that a third-party fuel carrier made an error by filling the Super Unleaded 87 tank with diesel fuel, and the diesel tanks with Super Unleaded 87.

Pump and Pantry said this incident occurred in Burwell on Friday, April 12th at around 8 pm, but the mistake was not discovered until around 1 pm the following day.

According to the company, after discovering the mistake, the gas station immediately took all the affected gas dispensers out of service to rectify the situation. They emptied all the tanks, filled them with the correct fuel type and then put the dispensers back into service.

They said if customers purchased Diesel, Super Unleaded 87, Super Unleaded 88, or E85 gas in Burwell between 8 pm Friday, April 12th and 1 pm Saturday, April 13th and are experiencing unusual issues with their car, they should contact Pump and Pantry for a solution.

Pump and Pantry has advised affected customers to stop at the Burwell Pump and Pantry and a store associate will assist them.

Alternatively, they can email the Grand Island corporate office director for help.
