LINCOLN, Neb. — As the summer travel season kicks off, drivers in Nebraska can expect some relief at the pump compared to last year. According to AAA, the average price of regular gasoline in the state is currently $3.38, down a mere one cent from last week.
These prices are significantly lower compared to the same period last year when Nebraskans were paying an average of $4.36 per gallon.
Not only are regular gasoline prices dropping, but diesel fuel is also experiencing considerable savings. AAA reports that the average price of diesel in Nebraska is currently $3.70 per gallon, a big drop of $1.45 compared to last year.
While gas prices may fluctuate in the coming weeks, AAA anticipates that the overall trend will remain relatively stable. For the latest information on fuel prices and travel tips, motorists can visit AAA's website or consult their local AAA branch.
