Teen takes plea in sextortion case

Grand Island, Neb. — A Hall County teen has taken a plea deal in a sextortion case.

Cody Holum, 17 at the time, faced 48 counts in Hall County District Court plead no-contest to four counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of human trafficking.

Court documents say between April of 2019 and October of 2023, Holum is accused of blackmailing victims by sharing photos unless they agreed to have sex with him and provide more photos. Documents indicate that Holum had blackmailed 13 separate victims.

Sentencing has been scheduled for: January 29, 2025, at 3:30 p.m.
