Hastings Police are investigating after four unknown men reportedly entered a mobile home, assaulted four people and took off with household items.

According to HPD, on Thursday, officers responded to a mobile home in the 1400 block of East South Street in reference to a burglary and assault. Capt. Raelee Van Winkle said a 24-year-old male and a 28-year-old male were physically assaulted and suffered minor injuries. A third female was also physically assaulted.

She added a weapon as used to threaten all three victims, plus an additional female. Van Winkle said none of the victims recognized the four suspects.

Van Winkle said a vehicle was damaged at some point during the incident and the men took off with two household items. She declined to elaborate on what these items were, citing the active investigation.

Van Winkle said the mobile home did not show any signs of forced entry.
