HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Today could be quite similar to the weather that we saw on Sunday. There are a few showers over western parts of the area that are drifting westward and starting to diminish this morning. Much of the area will enjoy plenty of sunshine this morning, although there is a little hazy fog that should burn off. By the afternoon, some showers and isolated thunderstorms could pop up. Like yesterday, the will slowly drift westward. The chance of severe weather remains quite low. High temperatures will range from the mid/upper 70s west to the upper 80s to near 90° in the east. Most of the thundershowers will diminish in the evening hours, but I can’t rule out something holding together overnight. Lows tonight, will drop to between the lower 50s west to the lower 60s east.

While pop-up showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible again Tuesday and Wednesday, but those chances are even lower than today. Temperatures are expected to be a bit warmer. Highs on Tuesday will range from around 80° west to around 90° east. Wednesday will be a bit warmer yet from the lower 80s west to the lower 90s east.

Later in the week, the chances for showers and thunderstorms increases a bit for Thursday and Friday and temperatures will come down a little bit. The best chance looks to come Saturday as a cold front sinks southward. This will bring down temperatures a bit more and they will probably be a bit below average. Sunday depends on if the front stalls out over our area or if it continues southward. If it stalls out, the chance of thunderstorms will stick around. Otherwise, it could be a mostly dry day.
