Grandma Betty gained a reputation for using plenty of recycled items and keeping NTV Chief Meteorologist Tim Reith in line.

“Grandma Betty was just that, a grandma to all of us who had the joy of interacting with her,” said Reith. “Her kindness was only matched by her mischievousness, and I truly looked forward to her giving me a hard time every single time she was on the show. She will truly be missed but heaven will be a bit more “crafty” with her arrival.”

“Grandma Betty always had the perfect craft for the bored grandchild and had a use for almost anything lying around your house. She showed up with a quick wit and chocolate,” said Sara Kirkley. “I have missed spending time with her since her retirement and know she’ll be missed by the many people she touched.”

Clara “Betty” E. Wintermote passed away on April 18, CHI – Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was 90 years old.
