Gov. Jim Pillen appoints new Nebraska Department of Economic Development Director

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen announced Monday that K.C. Belitz has been selected as the new Director of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED).

Belitz recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Nebraska Community Foundation and was the President of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce for 18 years.

Belitz's appointment comes as a result of Tony Goins' resignation from the position in April.
