HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue affect south central areas westward through mid evening. Once the sun sets, this activity will diminish quickly. So, keep that umbrella handy if you have any evening outdoor plans. As for the overnight, skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with light east northeast winds between 5 and 10 mph. Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s west to low 60s east.

Tomorrow will be the last day we see scattered showers and storms until later in the week. Skies will be mostly sunny tomorrow becoming partly cloudy in the late afternoon as the sun heats up things we see clouds thicken up. Tomorrow afternoon’s shower and storm activity will be more spotty in nature. Shouldn’t see the any concentrated areas of rain as we saw this evening. Should be a warmer day across western areas with more sunshine expected. Highs across the area in the low to mid 80s.

After tomorrow the weather becomes drier with only a very slight chance of rain Monday evening. Things get really dry for Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s not until we get to the end of the week where we see shower and thunderstorm chances return each afternoon/evening. Highs through the week mainly in the low to upper 80s. As far as severe weather goes, looks to be a low chance over the next five to seven days.
