The Adams County Fairgrounds is where the Salvation Army of Hastings will host its annual Thanksgiving dinner. A Salvation Army Captain said it’s a good way to connect with the community.

“That helps us get connected with familiar faces, get our faces out there so they can meet us, and know us a little bit and just make that connection, and then that builds bridges, and then we lead out from there. So, this gives us [the] opportunity to just really start making those connections, start building those relationships, so that we can learn about the community. Learn how the Salvation Army fits into the service, and how we can really build up the community,” Joseph Irvine, Salvation Army Captain, said.

Irvine also told me this is the first year they are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at the Adams County Fairgrounds from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday.
