A local health department says it has developed a new tool to help prevent suicide. Two Rivers Public Health Department launched a new program called Credible Mind designed to improve mental health.

The program allows you to play games and take wellness exams and is geared toward connecting you with relatable people.

“One of our biggest behavioral health initiatives that we’ve started this year is credible minds and one of the biggest successes that we’ve had with that program is being able to connect people of all kinds of diverse backgrounds with mental health practitioners in the area who speak their language or have similar backgrounds and that can be really helpful,” said Ashley Green, Environmental Health Specialist for Two Rivers Public Health Department.

Two Rivers pointed to reach out to friends showing increasingly risky behavior or signs of disinterest towards past hobbies.
