State senators look to override several line-item budget vetoes

LINCOLN, Neb. — Inside the Unicameral, state senators looked to override a handful of the governor's line-item budget vetoes Wednesday.

GOV. PILLEN SIGNS BUDGET WITH LINE-ITEM VETOES

One at the top of list regarding hospital provider rates failed by a vote of 24-22.

Another override attempt regarding workforce housing funds failed as well.

One override that did succeed involved funds for the State Auditor's office and staff.
