Grant man facing child porn charges

PERKINS COUNTY, Neb. — A Grant man is facing multiple charges after child porn was reportedly found on his cell phone.

Michael Crapson, 61, is charged in Perkins County Court with two counts of unlawful visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor and six counts of preparing or distributing obscene literature.

An affidavit detailing the case has been sealed, but a complaint outlining the charges says the alleged offenses occurred on or about Aug. 11. The complaint says Crapson’s cell phone contained child porn, which he then he then distributed.

Crapson was arrested Wednesday and lodged in the Keith County Jail. His bond has been set at 10% of $250,000. He is due back in court on Dec. 6.
