DUNDY COUNTY, Neb. — Highway 61 in southwest Nebraska is now back open after flooding closed it last week.
According to the Dundy County Sheriff's Office, the speed limit in that area is 45 mph due to soft shoulders and equipment near the highway. The sheriff's office is asking that travelers use caution near mile marker 17.
The highway was covered in such an extensive amount of flood waters that pumping equipment had to be used to remove it.
