HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It’s a bit warmer this morning as winds have remained a bit breezy overnight and clouds have moved in. Much of the area will see partly to mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be breezy out of the south at 10 to 20+ mph with some gusts up around 30 mph. A cold front will push southeast through the area this afternoon. Temperatures will be warming up into the 60s and lower 70s ahead of the front. They will start to drop behind the front later today. Once the cold front passes through, winds will turn north northwesterly and will be breezy. We’ll continue to see some clouds and perhaps some sprinkles or very light rain into the evening. Winds will remain strong out of the north at 15 to 25 mph with some gusts to 35 mph. Later in the night, high pressure will build in from the north, which will bring clear skies and lighter winds. Temperatures will drop off early tomorrow morning into the 20s and lower 30s.

While cooler tomorrow, Friday will still be a halfway decent day for mid-November. There will be plenty of sunshine and winds shouldn’t be terribly strong. Highs will range from the lower 50s northeast to the lower 60s west. This will still be above average across the area. The weather will remain quiet Friday night as temperatures drop back into the upper 20s and lower 30s. Saturday should be one last very nice day with mainly sunny skies. Temperatures will warm up into the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon. Enjoy it!

Rain is on track to move in to the area Sunday and continue Sunday night and Monday. Sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, it looks to clear out. Some of us could get a decent soaking out of this. The chance of wintry precipitation doesn’t look to great, although western areas may have a chance if it gets cold enough Monday into Monday night. Highs on Sunday will be in the low to mid 50s. By Monday, they’ll be down in the 40s.

Tuesday and Wednesday look to be dry and there shouldn’t be any travel impacts. Temperatures will remain in the 40s and lower 50s on Tuesday. I’m expecting similar highs on Wednesday. A cold front will bring colder temperatures for Thanksgiving and through the holiday weekend. High temperatures will mostly be in the 30s. Perhaps following the Thanksgiving holiday, some snow may move into the area. That will be something to monitor as we get closer in time to the holiday.
