Grand Island police probe after woman receives child porn in text message

Grand Island, Neb. — Grand Island police are investigating after a 61-year-old woman reported she got child porn images texted to her from an unknown number.

GIPD says on Monday, the woman reported she received the images from a Louisiana phone number. She then contacted police.

Captain Dean Elliott says the investigation will likely be turned over to a federal agency or Louisiana authorities. He added while these incidents are rare, those who receive such text messages should not delete them and the photos should not be saved on their phone.
