LEXINGTON, Neb. — A Kearney man charged after making threats against the Nebraska State Patrol has been sentenced.
Dawson County District Court Records say Clifton Dedrick, 28, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years behind bars Thursday for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Authorities said in early November last year, troopers were contacted by Lexington Police about Dedrick, who had a warrant for his arrest, and they believed had a gun.
Kearney Police also informed the patrol that Dedrick had made a threat against the NSP office in Lexington.
Authorities said Dedrick was found in a hotel near that office and was taken into custody a few hours later.
NSP said a handgun was found on the table in his room.
