City of Burwell warns drivers about mistake made at Pump & Pantry

BURWELL, Neb. (KSNB) - The city of Burwell is warning consumers about a mistake made at a Pump & Pantry in Burwell.

The Burwell Chamber of Commerce said a third-party carrier incorrectly put diesel fuel in the Super Unleaded 87 Tank and put Super Unleaded 87 into the diesel tanks on Friday, April 12, at 8 p.m. at Pump & Pantry. The mistake wasn’t discovered until Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m.

Pump & Pantry personnel emptied the incorrect fuel and new fuel was delivered properly into the correct tanks, at which time all dispensers were put back into service.

Any customer at the Burwell Pump & Pantry fueled vehicles with either Diesel, Super Unleaded 87, Super Unleaded 88 or E85 between the hours of 8 p.m. on April 12 and 1 p.m. on April 13, and are experiencing issues with their vehicles is asked to contact the Pump & Pantry to fix the situation.
