HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Rain expectations will persist with better chances for scattered thunderstorms expected Saturday, before this current weather pattern gradually dries out. Disturbances will bring showers and thunderstorms as early as Saturday morning for Southwest Nebraska, with a couple of isolated thunderstorms possible in the Lexington, Kearney, Holdrege areas by the forenoon. By early afternoon into the early evening, scattered thunderstorms will become more prominent for central areas of the state including the Tri-Cities, before they begin to diminish with the loss of daytime heating.

Sunday a weak disturbances still could wander into the area and pop an isolated to scattered thunderstorm, but the better chances may be to the southwest and the northeast of the Tri-Cities area. While there are still slight chances for rain next week, we will be transitioning to drier conditions with temperatures in the 80s, a little above the norms for early June.
