A York man convicted in a 2010 Arizona murder is now accused of murdering his wife.

Bart Beutler, 47, is charged in York County Court with first-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

According to an arrest affidavit, around 9:45 p.m. Monday, York Police responded to a residence on South Platte Street after Beutler allegedly called 911 advising he shot his wife, 46-year-old Stacie Beutler.

When officers arrived on scene, officers located Stacie deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. The affidavit says Bart Beutler told dispatchers on the 911 call that he shot his wife because she “wouldn’t stop yelling and "talking [expletive].’”

Officers were unable to locate Bart Beutler at the residence, but the affidavit said they later received a report he was at a residence in the 400 block of North Iowa Avenue in York.

Beutler was arrested at this residence without incident and the affidavit said he was wearing blood-stained clothes and allegedly admitted to shooting his wife with a .40 handgun while she was sitting on the couch in the living room of their home.

The affidavit says: “When asked how many times Bart shot Stacie, he stated, ‘I don’t know, I just pulled until the clip was empty.’”

The affidavit states Beutler was convicted in May 2010 of second-degree murder in Maricopa County, Arizona.

On Tuesday, a judge ordered Beutler to be held without bond on the latest charges until he can appear in York County Court on Wednesday.
