Officer Bartlett died the evening of Friday, April 12, after his patrol unit was struck by a Ford F150 while he was performing a traffic stop on Highway 77.

In addition to his service as a police officer, Bartlett was also a full-time investigator with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and a member of the Ceresco Volunteer Fire Department.
